Farming & Woodland Management in the West Weald:
A FREE Workshop for Farmers and Landowners

Venue: The Winn Hall - Dunsfold, Surrey

  • Would you like advice/funding to help you manage your land?
  • Do you want to do more for wildlife but aren’t sure where to start?

If the answer to either of these questions is ‘yes’, book your place NOW to hear more about how the West Weald Landscape Project can help you. There will also be contributions from the Forestry Commission and Butterfly Conservation.

The day includes:

  • Short morning sessions on managing woodlands, hedgerows & other farm habitats
  • Sources of practical advice and funding available for management
  • A local woodland walk looking at practical management options

Apples and Animals: Family Event

Celebrate national Apple Day and local wildlife wonders in the West Weald Landscape.

Venue: Fishers Farm Park, Wisborough Green

Come and get stuck in to fun activities including:

  • Walk on the Wild Side - learn all about the local wildlife
  • Work with Wood - brush up on your woodcraft skills
  • Dig for Victory - help plant apple trees to support the local orchard heritage

If anyone wishes to visit the farm attraction normal entrance charges applicable. Please note Sussex Wildlife Trust Members can get in for half price on the day if they show their membership cards.

Managing Grassland for Horses

A FREE Workshop for horse and pony owners and people who manage studs, livery yards, riding schools or their own paddocks

Venue: Kirdford Village Hall, Kirdford

This free evening workshop will consider how good paddock management not only benefits the health and well-being of your horses and ponies but also benefits wild flowers, prevents pasture damage, reduces weed infestation and improves the landscape.with rich and colourful pastures.
