Informed conservation from applied research, surveys and monitoring

The WWLP runs a detailed programme of ecological studies to create an applied environmental information base which underpins our ability to carry out effective conservation measures. Diverse field surveys expand our knowledge of important habitats and species and linkages in the landscape, creating a baseline from which we can monitor changes. Meanwhile computer modelling is generating insights on environmental functioning and informing spatial targeting of conservation management efforts.
